Artist Statement
Highly influenced by the circumstances of my childhood in a village along the border of Austria and Slovakia, I have always been fascinated by invented power structures and their influence on our lives. In my ongoing project, “blurred line, hard cut” I investigate the interplay between connection and disconnection and ways of perceiving it. My work focuses on the political construct of borders and the tales we collectively agree to believe in.
